Creating and Modifying Answer Templates for Tests, Polls, and Quality Analysis

Introduction

Introduction

At this page, you can create or modify the answer templates for assessments such as tests, polls, and quality analysis. You can use the answer templates when you want to conduct assessments that contain questions with a standard set of answers. The questions for all assessments will be displayed according to the order of the description of the questions at the design stage. However, the order of the answers for the assessments will be as follows:

  • When executing a test, the answers are displayed in a random order.
  • When executing a poll or a quality analysis, the answers are displayed in the order set in the design of the question.

If you define the answer templates as mandatory, the creators of the questions will not be able to influence the final layout of the answers. In Exact Synergy Enterprise, an assessment is defined as an item. A question is defined as an item too and linked to the assessment with an item relation. In this way, the same question can be re-used in different assessments. Answers are defined as serial numbers for the question item. Every answer can have a separate value, which is determined by the score of the selected answer. For more information, see How-to: Managing Assessments.

  • When executing a test, the answers are displayed in a random order.
  • When executing a poll or a quality analysis, the answers are displayed in the order set in the design of the question.

Answer

Type an answer to the question defined at Question if you are creating a multiple choice question. However, leave this blank if you are creating an open question. In an open question, the person who executes the test has to fill in the answer.

  • 1 for correct answers
  • 0 for other answers

However, other scores are possible too.

Note: The total score of the test is the sum of the score of answers based on the selection by the person who executes the test.
